The Wareabouts Platform

Document checks. Exception visibility. Prepared next actions.

Wareabouts helps freight teams turn fragmented shipment information into a clearer operational picture. It reads the documents you provide, checks information against defined requirements, highlights missing or conflicting details and prepares follow-ups for your team to review.

No forced ERP replacement. No black-box decisions. Just a clearer view of what needs attention and what should happen next.

Document AI

Know what's in your documents.

Every shipment arrives with a stack of documents — commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, bills of lading, certificates of origin. Each document contains critical operational data: shipper and consignee details, shipment references, weights, quantities, HS codes, dates and more.

Wareabouts reads these documents and extracts the relevant fields into a structured view. Instead of opening each PDF and manually copying values into a spreadsheet, your team starts with the information already organised and linked back to its source.

When extraction confidence is low — for example, a handwritten HS code or a scanned document with poor quality — the field is flagged for human review rather than silently accepted. This means your team always knows what the system is confident about and what needs a second look.

Exception Engine

Catch inconsistencies across the paperwork.

The Exception Engine has two core functions: completeness checks and cross-document validation.

Completeness checks verify that all required documents for a shipment type have been received. For example, an air import might require a commercial invoice, packing list, airway bill and certificate of origin. If the certificate of origin hasn't arrived, the system surfaces that gap immediately — not when someone downstream discovers it during filing.

Cross-document validation compares key values across different documents. If the commercial invoice states a gross weight of 1,240 kg but the packing list shows 1,204 kg, that discrepancy is flagged with the specific evidence from both documents. The same applies to shipment references, package counts, consignee names and other fields that should be consistent.

Every exception includes the supporting evidence — the exact values, the source documents and the reason for the flag. Your team reviews the evidence and decides whether the mismatch is a genuine issue or an acceptable variation.

Action Desk

Turn an identified issue into a next step.

Identifying a missing document or a weight mismatch is only half the job. Someone still needs to draft the follow-up, find the right contact, include the relevant context and send the message. That coordination work is where most operational time is spent.

The Action Desk takes each confirmed exception and prepares a contextual follow-up draft. If a certificate of origin is missing for shipment SH-4012, the system drafts a message to the shipper with the shipment reference, the specific document needed and a clear request — ready for your team to review.

Crucially, nothing is sent automatically. Every follow-up draft goes through human review. Your team can edit the message, change the recipient, add context or decide not to send it at all. The Action Desk prepares the work; your team makes the decision.

This design reflects a core principle of Wareabouts: automation should handle the repetitive preparation work, but consequential communications remain under human control.

Hi team, we haven’t received the certificate of origin for SH-4012. Could you share it by end of day so we can complete the document check? Thank you.

Completeness checks

Know what's missing before you move forward.

Check supplied documents against a defined, customer-specific checklist. Identify missing items and bring incomplete shipment records to your attention before they cause downstream delays.

Each checklist is configured per customer and trade lane, so the requirements match your actual filing and operational needs — not a generic template.

One shipment. A clearer picture.

Everything you need to understand the next action.

Instead of piecing together a shipment’s status from disconnected messages and files, imagine starting with the information that matters: what has arrived, what remains outstanding, what doesn’t match and who needs to act. Wareabouts is being built around that operational view.

An operational workspace designed around the work surrounding each shipment.

AI with operational guardrails

AI handles the checking. Your team makes the call.

Freight operations involve commercial commitments, documentation requirements and decisions that cannot be treated as guesswork.

Wareabouts is designed to make relevant information easier to process without removing human judgment from consequential actions. It can identify potential inconsistencies, surface missing information and prepare suggested responses. Your team verifies the evidence and decides what happens next.

Evidence before confidence

Potential issues should be accompanied by the relevant source information, making them easier to inspect and verify.

Uncertainty stays visible

When a value is unclear or extraction confidence is insufficient, it should be flagged for review rather than presented as certain.

People retain control

Consequential communications and operational decisions remain subject to human approval.

Automation should make good operators more effective — not make decisions they cannot trust.

Find the issue. Understand the evidence. Decide the next action.
